The Legislative Taskforce will serve as a structured forum for collaboration among the ÀϾÅÆ·²è (LCSD), its stakeholders, and elected officials who represent our community at the local, state, and federal levels. The Taskforce will provide an ongoing opportunity to share information, advocate for district priorities, strengthen relationships with policymakers, and ensure that the voices of those most directly impacted by education policy are heard.

Objectives

• Advocacy: Provide a unified voice on legislative and budgetary priorities that directly impact LCSD students, staff, and families.
• Information-Sharing: Facilitate clear, timely communication between the district and elected officials regarding pressing challenges, emerging issues, and opportunities.
• Relationship-Building: Develop and strengthen relationships with elected representatives and their staff, fostering trust, collaboration, and long-term partnerships.
• Student-Centered Policy Input: Ensure that the perspectives of students, educators, families, and other stakeholders inform conversations and decisions related to education policy.
• Grant and Funding Opportunities: Identify and inquire about available grants, state and federal funding opportunities, and other resources that can support district programs, initiatives, and priorities.
